Katie Ringo's classes at Scrap and Sew

Hey everybody! I hope you all are having a fantastic week - make sure you're dropping hints to that sweetheart of yours for any Valentine's Day gifts you want; you deserve a new diamond necklace! :) I have a great playlist for Valentine's Day you could play for a quiet evening at home with your valentine; some really beautiful songs. I will post that next week! :)

If you have been to the store before, you probably know Katie Ringo. She has taught classes here before and her projects are always a huge success with our customers. She has a blog as well, so be sure to check that out - here's the link:
http://katiesquiltingcorner.com/
She has signed on to do some more classes here for this quarter and we are so thrilled! Here's what she has planned for you all.

Ticker Tape Applique
Do you have overflowing scrap bins and need a fun new way to use up those scraps? Look no further than the ticker tape applique technique! This fun technique creates a great stained glass effect on your blocks and is really easy to do. Its a perfect way to use up those scraps and make great little or big quilt. $20
Confident Beginner ~ Sat Jan 25th 10am-12noon

Quiltsmart Bitty Bag
Make this adorable bag using a simple technique on fusible interfacing. There are several fun convertible styles to choose from. Use a charm pack or your choice of 2.5” squares to create the outside patchwork.   This bag finishes at 9” high with a 5 ½” square bottom.  Perfect for yarn projects, snacks, cosmetics, evening bags and more! $30
Confident Beginner ~  Sat Jan 25th 1-4pm

E Reader Case
Design fits most 6x10 hoops. Made in only 1 hooping (unless you want to have the optional quilted back)** NO ADDITIONAL SEWING REQUIRED!  Fully Lined, Zips to close,  zipper overlap style so you don't even know the case has a zipper. Very tailored look! Separator inside to keep your E Reader Cord from scratching your E Reader. Monogram letters embedded into the files - just load the design and stitch! $30
Intermediate ~ Sat April 12th 1-4pm

Owl Needle Case
Design fits most 5X7 hoops. The 3D wings open to store pins, hand needles, safety pins, etc. The wings close to keep everything secure. The pockets on the belly can hold a pair of small scissors, seam ripper, etc. 2 spools of sewing thread are secured at the bottom to allow the owl to stand. $20
